Being a good photographer is an art form.It isn’t as simple as taking your camera and then pointing and clicking. It goes beyond that.  It requires a talent just like any other field. Some people are just plain talented as photographers. While there are a few that can be improved. The key point is understanding what is a good photograph and which photographs are not.In this article what I am going to share are a couple of tips you can use to help you take great shots whenever they come up.

As a San Diego wedding photographer taking great photos is my job.  If I didn’t do that I wouldn’t get much work.So understanding what makes a great shot is critical.  In weddings just like anything else being aware of what is happening around you is key.  There is a lot of activity going on but if you know what is going on you can get prepared. You understand all the key moments of most weddings.Just make yourself ready to catch them on film.

Another tip I learned from being  a San Diego photographer is understanding human emotion. You can find yourself taking candid shots of people.  Or you could be taking photos of weddings. It doesn’t matter.  All that matters is you understand your subjects and the emotions they are going through.  If you do you can get ready to catch some great emotions on film.

Finally if you are to be a good photographer, you need to anticipate the great shots.  This is especially helpful for doing work like in my San Diego event photography business.Because in most major events there is plenty that is happening all around.By being ready to get those action shots that you might normally miss, you will be able to catch.

So there you go on some great ways that you can know will be fantastic shots. It is more of a mental aspect then a technical aspect but the photos you will take are going to be fantastic.  And more captivating then just technical shots.
